This time round I have 2 roles for this trip. Firstly as a tour guide and secondly, shop for my family.
I went with 2 friends this time. I brought them to my usual haunts like Sempang, Bobae etc. in Bangkok and also discover new things.
We stayed in a 3 star hotel, Inn Saladaeng which is located in Saladaeng Road. I always wanted to stay there due to the cheap rates. Imagine THB1400 for a twin room. I stayed in a single room that cost THB1200. It is a relatively new; like about 2 years old. A very cozy place, decent and clean. Only 5 mins walk to the BTS and near to many eating outlets. Breakfast is just simple sandwich and banana but with numerous eating outlet located along Silom, this should be the least worry for you. I have also tried Saladaeng Massage which cost THB200 for a 60mins Thai massage. It is located in one of the buildings toward Silom on the second floor along Saladaeng road. It looks sleazy when you go up the stairs but it actually offer clean massage by either man or women masseur of your choice.
We also tried several new eating outlets that serve Thai and Chinese Wanton noodle.
When I am in Chatuchak, I also found the location of the Children Discovery Museum. It is actually quite an interesting place and I believe the children will like it.
In summary, a fruitful trip with 7 bags coming back with me. I was so broke that I need to borrow money from my friend to continue with my shopping.
As the place I went is my usual place, I did not take much pictures and you can read about it in my previous trip report.
Hope I can go back there again within the next 12 months. :p
